Next, you will set off the security system so that the siren sounds for 45 seconds after which you can turn the security system off. Afterward, call our Central Monitoring Station again to confirm that a signal was transmitted and received from the alarm.

Q: What is a monitored security system?
A: A security system that is monitored provides top level defense by using sensors and control technology to automatically communicate alarm events to our team at the Central Monitoring Station. Our monitoring station routinely receives coded information from alarm systems which are recorded in our monitoring systems and analyzed by our team. Experienced operators Mitech Technology monitor alarm transmissions around the clock for any security situations and dispatch police, fire or medical response teams.

Q: My alarm keypad is beeping. What does that indicate?
A. A beeping alarm system or unusual message displays on the control panel may signify that the security system requires service. The cause could also be somewhat simple such as a power failure, or it could be more significant like a problem with your security systems’ ability to send communications signals. To resolve, simply give us a call with a explanation of the sound and message on the alarm panel and we review and find a quick solution.

Q:. My smoke detector is chirping or beeping, what does that mean?
A: Mitech Technology’ smoke and heat detector installations do not have this feature and would not cause a system to chirp. The sound can come from a variety of other sources, or even another piece of equipment like a cell phone or wireless phone. Often the source could be an electric smoke detector that has a back up battery that is running low and requires replacement.
